Forklift operator
We are currently hiring forklift operators for a fast-paced warehouse in Newark, NJ. We are looking for a careful forklift operator to move pallets and heavy material/equipment around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- Dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry
- Forklift experience in a freight/less-than-truckload environment
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Desire to succeed with a strong attention to detail
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs)
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
- Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
- Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator

Job description
The ideal candidate will utilize a forklift to move raw materials, parts and finished goods
throughout the plant and provide support in multiple departments.
- Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments.
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods.
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
